A beautiful Sunday to run trains with friends in honor of my brother Chuck, probably the most selfless person I’ve ever met. He lost his very short battle with pancreatic cancer on May 20th and will be greatly missed by many. He loved Godzilla and loved my passion for this hobby.

@@GHOSTTRAINPRODUCTION this one can take 8’, the USA requires 16’
Just absolutely stunning. Thank you for sharing.
Cool layout. The helix is way cool. Thanks for sharing this video. Subbed. 🚂🚃🚃🚃
Hi Jonathan and congratulations for your state-of-the-art new layout! I have a couple of questions if you don’t mind: 1. are the tracks nailed or screwed on the elevated straight long section by the fence and on the wooden trestle? And 2. Are the switches all manual and why,, if this is the case ? Thanks and keep the great job going 👏👏👏
@@itadrummer1 the only places where the track is fastened are the bridges and anywhere there’s wood, ie., the helix, fort and turn around. All the switches are manual simply because there’s 135 of them! If there were 100% weather proof wireless option to remote control them I probably still wouldn’t do it simply because there’s so many. Not to mention sometimes small debris gets in the way of throwing the switch simply because they are out in the elements. Switching by hand allows the person switching them to make 100% sure they’re actually in the position they want them to be in!
@@TheeFishGuy excellent explanation, it makes 100% sense as far as the switch bonanza goes!!😆👌👏. Thanks for your reply.
You have some great garden railway trains and fantastic bridges there. Excellent filming.
@@wolfgangpfeilergartenbahnd6530 Thanks!
Great running session. Really like the trestle work.
cant wait to see the weathered uboat
i feel like you did this vid for me.....lol.....love the highnoses.....thanks!!!!

Great run! Love the new BN caboose. We need to put the pressure on the Bach-man to make some new BN GP40s for us! (Chessie too!!)😂
You're welcome! Everything seemed great after you got rid of that one Bad number 31 Hopper. That's how it always goes elimination builds perfection. Thanks for the peaceful time in your backyard. I enjoyed 😎👍
more rum needed , cheers for the upload, my brain maxxes out running five trains at once, and thats without any crossings.👍👍👍
@@peteshoulders1 that’s quite impressive. What remote system are you using? Your layout must be gigantic!
@@TheeFishGuy Cheers still using the Revo wishing that Railpro had been around sooner , the yard is 60 ft square and I have 500 yards of run single track double folded dog bone, take ten minutes on average to do a full circuit, looks like double track plus scenic in the shed never had much good weather here to run tho, ua-cam.com/video/TD5oPMv_RuU/v-deo.htmlsi=ADO-jx28AYehkJBy always enjoy your uploads Pete
things went smooth as soon as you settled them in........i enjoyed thanks !!!!!

Its so cool to see that many trains running on your layout, and the night shots were neat! Plus you had a beautiful day for it!
Wow it’s looking so much better now with the new bridges & trellis
Nice train. You know I love my Hoppers, I got the five 100-ton chessie cats that Manny had left over for a good trade. Now I'm up to six & Was lucky enough to get a WM one 😎👍

Nice layout!
Fantastic video and great trains on your garden railway layout. 🎥👍👍👍❤🚂🚂🙋♂
cant watch the whole thing yet but i will tonight........can i ask a question? id like to make my locomotive remote control, what is the system you use?
It's the railpro system. I have looked at it for my G Scale. Super easy system.
@@tomhansen2260 thanks
@@Joe-pb3lx in my opinion railpro is the cats ass. I like to lash up engines and Railpro makes that very easy and quick. I’m a fan of their sound options also. It’s expensive to start but once you have the remote it’ll become a disease and you’ll want everything RC. All of my locos have on board batteries. I like the freedom, especially since there several ways a train can be turned around on my layout…
@@TheeFishGuy .....interesting.....i was just going to rig up an r/c system from my r/c truck?.....lol......guess thats not the way to go?

Dear Jonathan. I exactly followed your instructions and rebuilt my USA Trains Caboose to LED battery power. Everything so far works fine. However, it seems that I am having a battery draining even though the main switch beneath the car is set to "all lights off". After two days the 9V battery block is completely emptied although not in use. Clearly, there is a miminum power running through the circuit board on the bottom of the car, which is enough to light up a low power consumption LED at the end of the car without having to activate the main switch so "all lights on". Do you have any advice how I can get rid of this leakage current? Thx in advane, Tom.
@@thomashottiger9746 since this video I’ve discovered the same thing. I’ve also discovered that you have to remove the existing circuit boards. I should probably take this video down….
Dang I would like to come but obligations exist. RLD hobbies open house this fall? It’s a yes for me.
@@gscalejp5280 I’ll be at RLD. also.

I wish I could attend. But my work schedule and location (s.e. Missouri) won't allow it.
Sorry Jon, I have a sinus procedure on the 9th.
Great job on the layout. Like the nighttime run. 🚂🚂.👍
Is this tank still running
It sure is
@TheeFishGuy okay because I made a 500 gallon tank, I used pond armor and it leaked, but the wood frame is solidly built, so I'm trying to salvage the build at this point with this technique.
@@Alex-il6pn I’m very happy with the results. Watch some pond videos of pros installing. I tried to mimic what they did.
Is the sealeant ct-1?
Yes
Awesome shots 😉
Awesome to see. Thank you
: This is quite different watching this garden railroad running at night. I'm digging it. All Aboard, may the rails be with us. 🐢 🚂 🐢 😲 🐢 🚂
Night runs are the best, except in the Pacific Northwest during the summer when the sun doesn’t set until 2130 hours. That’s way too late for me to be up and outside 😂
I like this system. Do you know if RailPro makes a receiver that can control DCC sound decoders like the ESU or Zimo XL decoders? My plan is to use some UK sound fitted locomotives on a deal rail garden railway. Thanks for the video anyway buddy as I like these helpful tips.
@@BritishRail60062 your best bet is to call ring directly or visit their site. I don’t know anything about DCC or what it is. I do know you can upload your own sounds though. Www.ringengineering.com or (219) 322-0279 🙂
@@TheeFishGuy No problem buddy. Thanks for the links, I really appreciate the help. Peter.

Great stream. Unfortunately I'm catching up right now, but I appreciate it brother 😎👍 🤣 I Have one myself but every time I hear the same whale call I do exactly what you do and roll my breath at it 😁
I can’t believe I watched the Whole Thing. Feels like I should have earned a tee shirt. Oh well at least I finished a Blunami install.
@@ronselliers6951 I’m sorry
You’re not selling it well enough
I am thinking of getting this RailPro for my UK locomotives as I was wondering if there is an option to program the controller to bind two functions with one key? On most UK locomotives, they have two tone horns and most sound profiles are F2/F3 so I wanted to set it up for one key to do a horn sequence of a high tone F2 and the low tone F3 with just one function on the screen? I am new to this stuff and I would appreciate any advice on this if you can help me out. But if not, no worries. I liked the video anyway.
@@BritishRail60062 go to www.ringengineering.com/RailPro.htm , scroll down to “Railpro Sound Samples”. There might be something there that does what you want. The horn is just a sound file you choose, you cannot have two sound files on the same button. I suppose you could choose two horn sounds and position the buttons right next to each other. Hit one then hit the other??
Just curious if ur friend would be willing to to make 5 sets of those spacers
